Description: The 60 foot mosaic wall sits at a focal point in the main lobby. North Texas Sunrise presents a landscape familiar to many Texans and it features wildflowers that are found throughout the North Texas landscape as well as the North Texas sky that is so clearly visible at Love Field. Dixie Friend Gays notes,“I love to travel to rural areas exploring nature and new landscapes. The flora represented in the mural is accurate so as one leaves the airport, there could be heightened awareness of our beautiful wildflowers.”

North Texas Sunrise was honored as one of the top public art installations of 2014 by the Americans for the Arts’ Public Art Year In Review.
