Volunteer Program Overview
The Love Helper Volunteer Program at Dallas Love Field offers the opportunity to assist travelers in the terminal and earn some airport perks along the way. Since 2005, the red-vested Love Helpers have staffed the airport’s five information booths.
Mission Statement/Objectives
Commitment to the public good; respect for the value and dignity of all individuals; accountability to the public; truthfulness; fairness and responsible; to conduct himself or herself and to operate with integrity in a manner that merits the trust and support of the public; to uphold all applicable laws and regulations; to treat others with respect; to carefully consider the public perception of personal and professional actions and the effect such actions could have, positively or negatively, on the airport’s reputation both in the community and elsewhere. To be readily available to assist by providing guidance and answering questions. To consistently plan, coordinate and organize events that are meaningful morale boosters.
Volunteer Training
Love Helpers must attend three training sessions held on weekdays only. Training sessions are offered quarterly each year. Training consists of departmental policies and procedural changes, airport improvements, operational aspects of the airport, tours. A training manual is provided that includes all pertinent location information, emergency procedures, contact numbers, airline information and airport services.
Love Helpers may attend all departmental trainings, functions and are recognized semi -annually for their accomplishments.
