Dallas Airport System Safety Policy Statement
In leading the evolution of the airport experience, the Dallas Airport System (DAS) commits to implementing an integrated and effective safety system.
DAS acknowledges our employees, stakeholders, and customers are exposed to potential airport hazards. Recognizing this fact, DAS is committed to implementing and improving a Safety Management System to ensure all activities uphold the highest level of safety performance and meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
To reduce and manage hazards through the Safety Management System, DAS commits to:
- Clearly defined goals for management to implement safety strategies.
- Ensure objectives and targets are realistic and achievable.
- The pursuit of an accident-free workplace.
- A culture of non-punitive hazard reporting for all airport staff and stakeholders.
- Practice proactive techniques to identify and resolve hazards.
- Regular management reviews and audits of all safety practices, policies, and procedures.
- Continuous monitoring of industry standards to ensure best management practices within DAS.
- A safety committee continuously monitoring and reporting safety performance.
- Support and promote safety training and awareness programs.
- Provide resources necessary to support safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety.
Though management is responsible for developing and organizing the Safety Management System, its success will depend on the involvement of staff and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
