About the Director

Patrick Carreno currently serves as the Director of Aviation for thePatrick Carreno 2022 City of Dallas, overseeing Dallas Love Field (DAL), Dallas Executive Airport (RBD) and the Dallas Vertiport (JDB).

Previously, he served as Interim Director from November 2022 to July 2023 and Assistant Director of Operations from December 2021 to November 2022. As the Assistant Director of Operations, he oversaw Airport Security, Airside Operations, Landside Operations (Terminal Operations and Passenger Support and Ground Transportation), Emergency Management, Transportation Regulation, and the Airport Operations Center divisions. 

Before joining the City of Dallas, Patrick Carreno was a Vice President of Airport Allegheny County Airport Authority. Mr. Carreno was responsible for oversight of Airport Operations, Field Maintenance, and Security departments at Pittsburgh International Airport to provide a safe, secure, and efficient airport operating environment. His leadership and strategic direction for Pittsburgh International Airport focused on the safety and security of the Airport as it continued to grow and evolve.

Including his time in Pittsburgh, Mr. Carreno has over 20 years of aviation experience in various airport and airline roles. He served in leadership and management roles at Oakland International Airport, Stockton Metropolitan Airport, City of Fort Worth, Midland International Airport, and with Allegiant Airlines Corporate Office in Las Vegas.  Mr. Carreno holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.  He also holds a Commercial Pilots License.
