Dallas Love Field Named #1 Best Kid-Friendly Airports by Motherhood Loves Community Awards
DALLAS, TX (July 18, 2024) – Dallas Love Field (DAL) is honored to announce it was voted the #1 Kid-Friendly Airport in the prestigious Motherhood Loves Community Awards. This accolade highlights the airport's dedication to creating a family-friendly environment for travelers with young children. Out of the 15 airports considered, Dallas Love Field secured the top spot on a list of 10 ranked airports, which also included Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

DAL offers a variety of amenities designed to cater to families, ensuring a pleasant travel experience for all ages. One of the standout features is the recently redesigned Lil’ Love Lounge, created in partnership with the Dallas Mavericks and UT Southwestern. This family-friendly area provides a clean and safe space for children to play while waiting for their flights. Amenities in the Lil’ Love Lounge include:
- A small play area with a slide
- A hands-on, creative corner with coloring books, crayons, and a digital coloring activity
- Shoe storage to keep the floors clean
- Adjacent toy and bookshop catering to younger travelers
In addition to the Lil’ Love Lounge, DAL features a private area for nursing mothers and the Diaper Genie vending machine, which offers diapers, wipes, bibs, onesies, and other essential baby items. Family restrooms throughout the terminal are equipped with oversized changing pads, providing convenience for parents.
Dining options at DAL cater to families with a range of choices, from vending machines and grab-and-go options to fast food and sit-down restaurants, all offering kid-friendly menu items. The Live at Love stage hosts local artists, providing live entertainment, often seeing toddlers dancing alongside the stage.
Another unique feature at Dallas Love Field is the HeART Cart, operated by the customer engagement team. This mobile art station invites children to interact and create custom art pieces they can take, adding a creative and fun element to their travel experience.
