Scope and Limits

This project reconfigures the taxiway system within the midfield area of Dallas Love Field between Taxiways M and C, by constructing dual Crossfield Taxiways named F&G that will be aligned perpendicular to Runways 13R-31L and 13L-31R. The scope of work includes removing and realigning Taxiway B between Taxiway M5 and Taxiway P, removing Taxiway E (existing), D2, D3, and C5, updating the Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS), and extending the existing VSR endpoint from the entrance of the Tiger apron around to the other existing VSR endpoint near the existing ARFF station, via an alignment parallel to Taxiway B, parallel to the proposed Taxiway F, and parallel to Taxiway L.

Changes and Development

Dallas Love Field is currently served by Runways 13L-31R and 13R-31L. Runway 13L-31R is served by a full-length parallel Taxiway A and a full length dual parallel Taxiway B and Taxiway M. The reconfiguration of Taxiway B and Taxiway M was completed in 2020. Runway 13R-31L is served by a full-length parallel Taxiway C and a partial dual parallel Taxiway L and Taxiway T. The purpose of this project is to improve the efficiency of taxi routes by providing dual Crossfield Taxiways connecting the existing two dual parallel taxiway systems.

Regulatory Requirement

Impact

Taxiways F and G have now been constructed and open for traffic. Deicing pads are currently in construction to be open for use for the upcoming deicing season at the end of the calendar year.

Traffic

There are no anticipated impacts to public traffic.
