Dallas Love Field will undergo two major construction projects beginning April 26, 2021 and ongoing until early 2022. Updates will be posted on this page and all airport projects can be tracked here

Runway 13R/31L Closure

To accommodate its reconstruction, Runway 13R/13L will be closed April 27, 2021 and will not be reopened until February 2022. During that time, all airport traffic will operate from the runway nearest Lemmon Avenue.

Impacts to air travel are expected to be minimal, but customers are encouraged to confirm their flight's status with their air carrier.

Herb Kelleher Way Entry Road Enhancements

The inbound and outbound lanes of Herb Kelleher Way will experience rolling lane closures beginning April 26, 2021 and continuing through the end of the year. No more than one lane will be closed at a time as the airport's lone entrance receives a much-needed facelift.

The project will install quality of life and safety improvements along Herb Kelleher Way. Improvements include enhanced landscape and streetscape features, energy efficient LED lighting, wider sidewalks, high visibility crosswalks, wayfinding signage and a signature public art feature. Customers are advised to factor the construction related lane closures when planning their trip to and from Love Field.
