Location: Pedestrian Walkway to the Parking Garage

Description: The artwork, installed on the ramp from the mezzanine to the parking garage connector, depicts four species of birds that are native to Texas. The artwork consists of an epoxy-based terrazzo flooring that uses 100% recycled glass and spans the 10ft x 84ft corridor. “Texas has an unusual number of native birds and an extreme number of migratory birds. I felt that this was a fundamental theme that all members of society could relate to.”

About the Artists: Marioni graduated in 1967 from the University of Cincinnati, and is a Fellow of the American Crafts Council.
