Location: East Tunnel from Parking Garage into the Ticketing / Check-in

Description: (70ft x 9ft) This work consists of a series of eight concentric rectangles constructed from four colors. Spanning the entire walkway from the parking garage to the ticketing hall, this work combines rectangles of the four colors in varying configurations that create the visual effect of a geometric progression. Lane Bank's work is based in the analysis of geometric forms. Consistent with the work of many contemporary artists, the formal elements of shape and color are the subject of the work. The artist comments, "The simpler design is at the garage entrance, with the more complex design at the end, so the viewer moves from simplicity to complexity." It's all about the progression.

About the Artist: Banks received a BFA from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. He has taught numerous classes at Southern Methodist University and currently works and resides in Dallas, TX. For more information, visit Lane’s site here.
